Brexit – warum ich mir wünsche, dass sich die Experten täuschen

Das schreibt die LA Times heute morgen:

Los Angeles Times: On Thursday British voters willfully walked off a cliff when they decided to leave the European Union. The “Brexit” victory is a defeat for Britain, Europe and the global economy.

Das ist das, was vorausgesagt und befürchtet wird. Und vielleicht kommt alles ganz anders. Ich würde es mir sogar wünschen. Weil ich gar nicht will, dass die Experten, die vor einem Brexit gewarnt haben, Recht behalten. Weil ich nicht möchte, dass die Briten unter ihrer Entscheidung leiden. Weil es wie immer die Schwächsten der Gesellschaft treffen wird. Warum hätten sonst Labour und Gewerkschaften vor einem Brexit warnen sollen.

Aber wie sagte Michael Gove so schön:  „we had enough of experts“.

Ja, im tiefsten Inneren wünsche ich mir, dass die Experten nicht Recht behalten, und dass die Konsequenzen des Brexits keine dramatischen sein werden. Denn: wenn es gut für die UK ist, haben die Remain-Befürworter sicher die Größe zu sagen: wir hatten Unrecht, ihr Recht.

Aber wer will im Gegenzug schon sagen: Seht ihr, wir haben euch gewarnt. Kein fühlender Mensch will in dieser Angelegenheit Recht behalten.

Heute ist ein trauriger Tag. Hoffen wir, dass er kein Fanal wird.

Wer auf alle Fälle gewinnen wird, sind die Skrupellosen. Die Spieler. Die Zocker.

The LA Times wrote this morning that

“On Thursday British voters willfully walked off a cliff when they decided to leave the European Union. The “Brexit” victory is a defeat for Britain, Europe and the global economy.”

That’s what has been predicted and feared. And maybe everything will come different. I would even wish for it to do so. Because I don’t want that the experts who warned of a Brexit to be proven correct. Because I don’t want the Brits to suffer from their decision. Because it always hits the weakest of society the hardest.

Why else would Labour and Unions have warned of Brexit?

But as Michael Gove put it so eloquently: “we had enough of experts”

Deep inside, I hope the experts aren’t proven to be correct, and that the consequences of Brexit won’t be so severe. This is because if it is good for the UK, I’m sure the Remain campaigners are big enough to say: we were wrong and you right. But who wants to say: You see now? We warned you. No feeling human wants to proven correct in this respect. Today is a sad day. Let’s hope it isn’t the start into something much worse than predicted.

Who will definitely win, are the ruthless and unconscionable. The players. The gamblers.
